MANAGEMENT

The Business Management program was founded in 1982 and accredited ‘A’ from the National Accreditation Board. The Faculty aims to produce graduates who are competent in the managerial and entrepreneurial fields with ethical and global perspectives. The teaching has increased relevan cetobusiness development, research and community service that is professional and sustainable for academic communication.

Excellence

LEARNING METHOD– designed with efficient classes and a competency based curriculum. Study activities are conducted utilizing the following methods: lectures, presentations, discussions, structured guidance and field surveys. For a greater understanding of the practical world, work experience is held in various companies as well as seminars with guest lecturers. Students are also given the opportunity to undertake an internship at a medium scale company for 3 months.

QUALITY LECTURERS– all teachers hold a minimum of a Masters qualification from major universities both within and outside the country, with 1 professor, 5 doctors and 6 PhD candidates. These teachers strongly support the course conceptually, creatively and innovatively. The learning process is supported by practitioners from various companies as casual faculty members or guest lecturers. Faculty expertise and competence is built through research, scientific papers, conference speaking, and consulting for various government and private companies.

COMPANY INTERNSHIP– as the activity of choice for students of the Department of Management, the company internship is an extracurricular activity that can be used to support the preparation of a student’s thesis and later applications for employment.

Study System

Graduation from the program requires the successful completion of 144 credits. All courses are offered every semester and there is a short semester held every January-February. This  system allows students the opportunity to complete their studies within 7 semesters (3.5 years).

Curriculum

The competence-based curriculum is designed to meet market demands and consists of:

In efforts to achieve the intended objectives, the teaching-learning process is a combination of theory and practice with strategic and global perspectives.

Thus graduates can play a role in various fields, that is:

PRACTITIONERS – within roles in the field of marketing, human resources, production and finance with managerial ability whether in manufacturing, service or trade.

ACADEMICS – Graduates who take the plunge to become academics have been equipped with the theoretical capacity of sharp and comprehensive analysis to facilitate better assessment and adaptation to the dynamic development of management science.

RESEARCHER – Graduates equipped with sharp and comprehensive academic skills can conduct scientific research in accordance with development and market demands.

ENTREPRENEUR– Graduates can pursue entrepreneurial careers either independently or as part of a good manufacturing and services company.
